This place is the first Chinese place I have stopped by since re locating to the area. I am pleased to say the prob size alone is quite generous for what you pay for. I ordered the seaseme chicken and it was delicious. This place has sweet the standard and if you're in the mood for Chinese I would definitely recommend this place.

The last time I came here was 30 years ago with my grandfather. I was so grateful to find them again and have such a memorable and delicious meal. Same owners! So amazing. Hopefully the owners family will keep this place for the next generation.

I loved everything about it. Food, service and price

Fantastic selection of fresh food: the fried foods were crispy and the other dishes were mostly well made. The noodles were a little dry and chewy but that was the only item that I tried that I didn't like. The restaurant itself is pretty basic with tables and chairs; a nondescript building with a small parking lot on the outside. Service was good and we ate lunch for two for $21. If we lived here I'd eat here once a week.

GREAT Chinese food! The buffet was closed so we ordered from the menu. I used to live in San Francisco and have been to 100+ Chinese restaurants there but Hunan Garden would rival everyone of them. The Pot Stickers were awesome and the Prawns with Walnuts was great! If you want great Chinese food come here and order off the munu! The other 5 in my part agree!

Absolutely a place worth stopping over, the food is awesome and well prepared, the pricing is reasonable and it is constantly well kept here. Kudos.

Friendliest staff. The food was typical buffet food. But who's looking for four- or five-star eats when they go to a buffet. For what the food lacked was made up for with solidly lovely staff.

Best buffet I've ever tried! The food was tasty, fresh, delicious! The garlic green beans are cooked perfectly and still amazingly 'crispy'! Love them! And shrimps.. The place have a lot of shrimps! And all of them are yummy! I was there like 3 months ago but still have dreams about the garlic green beans and shrimps! The staff is good and friendly, the prices are reasonable! I do recommend this place!

This is the best Chinese buffet I have ever had. The food tasted fresh, lots of fried options but nothing was greasy. A few things did stand out to me: dessert section was lacking a bit. Also a lot of people were taking their dirty plates back up to the buffet and none of the workers stopped them. Obviously the people should know better but it is very unhygienic (buffets already are not the best in terms of food safety)but the people working should have stopped it. The food was so good it was worth the risk though lol

Super Duper Awesomeness, Best Buffet from SLT, Sac and Bayarea

While my lady and I were waiting on our order, an older asian man kept giving me dirty looks as if we didn't belong there, however my vegetable chow mane was good and my lady's order was good as well but the salt and pepper prawns were horrible, the worst we ever had. The prawns still had there heads with their eyeballs attached, along with their shell and legs. After seeing that, I was reluctant on eating them, but I tried and few and gave up. They were not tasty nor they didnt look appetizing!

I celebrated my nomination today in this great restaurant. happy to tell that it was a outstanding evening and the place was surely one of the reasons for the happy meeting. The crew helped in a gorgeous way, the food was very good and my buddies were very glad. We shall no dout come back again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

We ordered appetizers and entrees for what we thought would be a nice dinner for our family. I picked up the food at 830 and I arrived at our lodge at 845 and I realized there was no rice in the order for a family of 6. I called the restaurant and the guy told me sorry were closed and then hung up on me. WHAT KIND OF CHINESE RESTAURANT DOES NOT INCLUDE RICE IN THE ORDER!!!!! AND IF THEY DONT WHY DO THEY NOT TELL YOU WHEN YOU ORDER???? These people make you hate to order chinese food.

The chow mein was fresh...stuffed pork and shrimp mushrooms were to die for. The sushi was o.k. The lunch buffet is awesome. Good food for the price.

During this pandemic there is no buffet anywhere. But my lunch to go was very good!Chow fun with beef satisfies my rice noodle craving and it wasn't the reconstituted noodles. The Sticky fried wings were plump and juicy, not on the menu but the chef made them for me. Thanks for being open:-)

Bleah, sticky Chinese goop, a model of bland, forgettable food with almost no redeemable qualities save for the crab wantons. ZERO spice in the "spicy" dishes. Suspect they use MSG or some other garbage as everyone who ate the food got a slight stomachache.

stopped by on the way home from a day on the Lake, nothing like grabbing takeout & not having to cook dinner! food was ready when we got there, portions are extremely generous, the price was great! & everything tasted wonderful! not to mention the service was fantastic, & everyone was attentive & friendly! 10/10 would recommend, & 100% will return!

Good cheap Chinese food. Can't beat their buffet price. You can order off a menu if you like but pretty much everyone's gorging themselves on the all you can eat. Nothing fancy, it's your typical Chinese buffet food. Often they will have several shrimp dishes to choose from in the buffet. Love the honey glazed shrimp! Been here 3-4 times it's always been good. Dinner time the small parking lot can get crowded though...

Amazing Chinese buffet with the freshest dishes I’ve tasted. Every 5-10 minutes they were refreshing current dishes or rotating new ones in. The sugar doughnuts were my favorite. They were still warm like fair food. So delicious.

If you are in the mood for all you can eat Chinese food and in South lake tahoe. This is the place to come.

Great buffet if you need to fill up. Not the best chinese in town but far from the worst. This all from a guy who has only ate at the buffet. They have dinners and food the cook fresh but I've never ordered any of it. The real kicker is that their food is usually warmer than 90% of non buffet food places that charge more. Exception being mandarin.

This place have been a main attraction for me and my family ever since the mid 90's. Not much have change and that is a good thing. Their hunan chicken is still to die for.

Great food and great value. Normally Chinese buffet style is low quality meat and flavorless. Everything I had there was terrific. Highly recommend shrimp with plum sauce and the wings. Lo Meir is also packed with flavor. Brought four kids and the all loved it.

Not only is the food fantastic, the price is also very affordable for adults, families, couples... whatever special occasion you may have. And the customer service was also five stars.
